Event details
Join us for a memorable one-day trip to the beautiful town of Jægerspris. The scenic route from Copenhagen to Jægerspris offers stunning views. This trip will include:
- Visit the traditional Jægerspris Hansen’s Is: Indulge in delicious, organic ice cream made with fresh milk. With over 100 years of history, this beloved brand continues to craft its ice cream using fresh local milk and no artificial additives. Its renowned taste draws visitors from far and wide.
- The cost of the ice cream is not included and must be paid separately by each individual.
- Visit the historic Jægerspris Mill (Jægerspris Mølle): Built in 1854, this windmill is a fine example of traditional Danish architecture. During the summer months, you can even purchase freshly ground flour here.
- Stroll through Jægerspris Castle Park: Enjoy the historical statues and beautiful green spaces within the castle grounds.
- Visit Vester Strand: Experience the natural beauty of this lovely beach area.
Furthermore, depending on the visitors’ interest and weather condition, we may decide to visit the Royal Oak (Kongeegen), which is located in Nordskoven forest. This magnificent oak tree is estimated to be between 1500 and 2000 years old, making it one of the oldest oak trees in Northern Europe.
Notes:
- We kindly request that you wear appropriate clothing and footwear suitable for walking and hiking.
- Please bring your own meal for lunch, water, snacks, and anything else you may need for the duration of the trip.
Ticket details
This event is exclusively for AIPaD members and the registration schedule is as following:
- Registration Opens: May 4th
- Registration Closes: May 8th
Participation & Transportation (Carpooling): This event operates on a voluntary carpool basis.
- Drivers: Volunteer drivers are needed. If you can drive, please sign up as Driver and indicate the number of available spots you can offer in your car.
- Passengers: Passengers can sign up to occupy the available spots provided by the volunteer drivers.
Ticket Prices:
- Drivers & Passengers (adult and children): 30 kr.
Carpooling Rules:
Registration is required for both drivers and passengers to manage the carpool arrangements.
Drivers should enter the total number of passenger seats available in their car (3 or 4 spots depending on their car size), regardless of who will occupy them. If they have family members (e.g., partner/spouse and/or children) joining them, they need to register themselves separately after the driver has signed up as driver.
AIPaD will be refunding fuel expenses for all drivers participating in our carpool event within two weeks after the event! We want to ensure that our drivers feel appreciated for their contribution.
The available number of passenger spots are shared between adult and children passenger tickets.
While we will make every effort to organize the carpooling efficiently, we cannot guarantee that all passengers will be seated in the same car. Assignments will be based on available seats in each vehicle.
The parents are responsible for bringing their own child/infant car seat. Neither the drivers nor AIPaD are responsible for providing car seats.
Please ensure you arrive on time for the meetup. We will depart strictly at 10:30 AM and will not be able to wait for late arrivals.

Refund policy
Please note that registration is binding, and no refunds will be issued unless the entire event is canceled.
