Self picking Sour Cherries in 2025 – Carpool Event

Time: Event starts at 15:00 and finishes around 21:00
Departure: We will depart from the meetup point at 15:30 sharp! Please don't be late, as the garden will open for self picking cherries at 17:00.

Event details

Join us for a fun half-day trip to self pick delicious sour cherries in Gårdagergård in Slagelse.

This trip will include:

  • Roundtrip between Lyngby St. and Gårdagergård in Slagelse
  • Self pick sour cherries in the garden

Notes:

  • We kindly request that you check the weather condition on the event’s day and wear appropriate clothing accordingly.
  • Please bring your own (light) meal for afternoon, water, snacks, and anything else you may need for the duration of the trip. There are NO supermarkets or restaurants in the garden.
  • Public toilets are available in the garden.

Ticket details

This event is exclusively for AIPaD members and the registration schedule is as following:

  • Registration Opens: July 20th
  • Registration Closes: July 25th

Participation & Transportation (Carpooling): This event operates on a voluntary carpool basis.

  • Drivers: Volunteer drivers are needed. If you can drive, please sign up as Driver and indicate the number of available spots you can offer in your car.
    • If you cannot offer any passenger spots, please still register. This helps the event coordinators know the total number of cars participating in the event.
  • Passengers: Passengers can sign up to occupy the available spots provided by the volunteer drivers.

Ticket Prices:

  • Drivers & Passengers (adult and children): 45 kr.

Carpooling rules

  • Registration is required for both drivers and passengers to manage the carpool arrangements.
  • Drivers should enter the total number of passenger seats available in their car, regardless of who will occupy them. If they have family members (e.g., partner/spouse and/or children) joining them, they need to register themselves separately after the driver has signed up as driver.
  • AIPaD will be refunding fuel expenses for all drivers participating in our carpool event within two weeks after the event! We want to ensure that our drivers feel appreciated for their contribution.
    • Driver with 0 passengers: No refund
    • Driver with 1 passenger: 30% of fuel cost
    • Driver with 2 passengers: 60% of fuel cost
    • Driver with 3 or 4 passengers: Full refund of fuel cost
  • The available number of passenger spots are shared between adult and children passenger tickets.
  • While we will make every effort to organize the carpooling efficiently, we cannot guarantee that all passengers will be seated in the same car. Assignments will be based on available seats in each vehicle.
  • The parents are responsible for bringing their own child/infant car seat. Neither the drivers nor AIPaD are responsible for providing car seats.
  • Please ensure you arrive on time for the meetup. We will depart strictly at 15:30 and will not be able to wait for late arrivals.

Refund policy

Please note that registration is binding, and no refunds will be issued unless the entire event is canceled.
